A lunch / afternoon networking and educational event, with discussion on working applications of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Everyone will have a minute to introduce themselves and say what they do and relevant introductions will be facilitated. There will be introductions, a two course lunch, a short talk and discussion followed by networking.
Rue Swabey from Rice Exchange – the world’s first blockchain rice trading platform, will be sharing how they have used blockchain to bring transparency, security and liquidity to the $450 billion global rice trade. The platform, developed by Fujitsu, builds trust in a highly fragmented global trade that is plagued by fraud, opaqueness and high costs. Rice is critical for food security across the world so Rice Exchange has the potential to touch billions. Their private, permissioned, blockchain-enabled marketplace is the go-to venue to trade and commercialise rice, and Rue will explain how they have integrated blockchain.
There will be a lot of great curry (and rice) – arrive at 12.30 pm for a drink for 1pm start to the meal.
The Oxford Crypto Curry is kindly sponsored by Vizidox who provide bespoke data management and tracking solutions using blockchain for a variety of industry sectors.
